About Modern Passive Income

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

I started Modern Passive Income because I believe anyone, no matter their starting point, can learn simple and sustainable ways to grow wealth over time. Passive income doesn’t have to be complicated, and it doesn’t have to be reserved for financial experts.

A few years ago, I began trying different passive income ideas. I invested spare change with apps like Acorns, bought inexpensive property to rent out or improve, and explored side hustles that could mostly run themselves. Along the way, I learned what actually works, what’s overhyped, and what can make a real difference for regular people.

Before starting my own brick-and-mortar service business, I spent over 15 years in the corporate world, managing retail locations and working in an innovative lab store where we tested new concepts. No matter the industry, I’ve seen firsthand that the connection to real, hardworking people is what makes or breaks any business.

I’ve also been experimenting with side hustles for decades. I flipped garage sale finds, sold books on Amazon back when they only sold books, and listed items on eBay. I’ve been involved in a friend’s food truck business, and even boarded pets for neighbors when they traveled. These experiences taught me that building income streams doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. It just takes consistency, curiosity, and the willingness to put yourself out there.

One of the things I care most about is helping my employees and others take simple steps to secure their future. You don’t have to be wealthy to start building wealth. You just need the right mindset, a few consistent habits, and the drive to try something new.

This site is my way of sharing what I’ve learned and helping others take action. Here, you’ll find honest guides, practical tips, and reviews of tools I’ve personally used.

Whether you want to supplement your income, build a nest egg, or create a little more breathing room, you’re in the right place.
